Invasion by Spodoptera frugiperda causing yield lossin maize production in Indonesia. Efforts to control S. generally use synthetic pesticides, however, the of pesticides can result various negative impacts on environment and health. Alternative utilization is usingbotanical pesticides. One plants Indonesia that has potential be developed as a botanicalpesticide Carica papaya. C. papaya leaves extract expected reduce This research was conducted at Agrotechnology laboratory, Universitas Perjuangan Tasikmalaya May-September 2022. The study arranged completely randomized design withonecontrol treatment, aqueous methanol from 1-4%. Each treatment repeated 4 times so 36 trials were obtained. experimental unit used 10 instar2 larvae. given using residue method feed. mortality value based with 4% 75±5.77%. 3% had best effect inhibition growth larvae, an average larval weight 203 mg.
